Random: tap Get matched. You're paired with someone who's online. If it isn't a good fit, tap Next once its short countdown has finished.

Your pick: open See who's up, choose someone and call them directly.

Camera and microphone: the browser asks for both when a match or call starts. Allow them.

Clicked Block by mistake? The browser remembers that answer and won't ask again by itself, so the call can't start. ometv.us then shows a pop-up with a "How Can I Provide Permission?" button that walks you through the steps for your phone or browser. In short: tap the lock or camera icon next to the address bar, set Camera and Microphone to Allow, and reload the page. On an iPhone it's Settings → Safari → Camera and Microphone.

Switching to your back camera: once a video call has connected, tap the flip button on your own small video window. It doesn't show while you're still waiting to be matched. If you tapped the small window and swapped the two views, tap it again so your own video is back in the small window, and the flip button returns.

Different language? In a call, the other person's messages have a translate button.

Follow them — during the call or from their profile afterwards. Following needs a signed-in account.

To find them again, open your Following list, tap their profile and call from there. Whether they can pick up depends on whether they're online at that moment.

• Buying: coins are bought in your wallet. You need to be signed in.
• What a call costs: a random match costs a set rate; a direct call costs the rate the person you call has set.
• Before you pay: you get a notice before charging starts, and a prompt to add coins if you're running low during a call.
• Free time: new accounts may get some free matches or free call time. The amount is set automatically for each account.
• A payment question: write to us with the date and amount, and the email address on your account.

Coins bought on ometv.us can only be used on ometv.us. They aren't connected to OmeTV in any way.

Open the person's profile and use the menu there: Report sends their account to our review team, and real people look at every report. Block stops them from reaching you, straight away.

Changed your mind about a block? You can undo it from your block list in your settings.

If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Signing in: tap your profile icon and choose quick sign-in or email and password. OmeTV accounts can't be used here.

Using another phone or computer: an account with an email address can be signed in to anywhere. A quick sign-in account stays with the browser it was made in, so add an email to it if you want to keep it.

Forgot your password: use "Forgot password" on the email sign-in screen.

Closing your account: write to us from the email address on the account and we'll close it.

Account removed: if you think it was a mistake, write to us from the email address on the account and we'll review it.
